1.Say Bismillah :
يَا غُلَامُ سَمِّ اللَّهَ وَكُلْ بِيَمِينِكَ
The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said:
“O young boy, mention the Name of Allah and eat with your right hand.”

2. Drink Sitting (Preferred)
نَهَى رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَنْ يَشْرَبَ الرَّجُلُ قَائِمًا
The Messenger of Allah ﷺ forbade a man from drinking while standing.

3) Drink Using the Right Hand
إِذَا شَرِبَ فَلْيَشْرَبْ بِيَمِينِهِ
The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said:
“When one of you drinks, let him drink with his right hand.”

4) Drink in 2–3 Gulps
كَانَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَتَنَفَّسُ فِي الشَّرَابِ ثَلَاثًا
The Messenger of Allah ﷺ would pause for breath three times while drinking.

5) Pause and Breathe
إِنَّهُ أَرْوَى وَأَبْرَأُ وَأَمْرَأُ
“It is more thirst-quenching, healthier, and more satisfying.”

6) Do Not Breathe Into the Drink
نَهَى أَنْ يُتَنَفَّسَ فِي الإِنَاءِ
The Messenger of Allah ﷺ forbade breathing into the vessel.

7) Do Not Drink From the Chipped Side
نَهَى عَنِ الشُّرْبِ مِنْ ثُلْمَةِ الْقَدَحِ
The Messenger of Allah ﷺ forbade drinking from the chipped part of a cup.

8) Cover Drinks Overnight
إِذَا كَانَ جُنْحُ اللَّيْلِ فَخَمِّرُوا الْآنِيَةَ وَأَوْكُوا السِّقَاءَ
“When night falls, cover the vessels and tie the waterskins.”

9) Drink Zamzam Standing
سَقَى رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ وَشَرِبَ وَهُوَ قَائِمٌ
The Messenger of Allah ﷺ drank while standing.

10) Avoid Drinking From the Mouth of the Container
نَهَى أَنْ يُشْرَبَ مِنْ فِي السِّقَاءِ
The Messenger of Allah ﷺ forbade drinking from the mouth of the waterskin.

11) Pass the Drink to the Right
أُتِيَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ بِقَدَحٍ فَشَرِبَ ... فَأَعْطَاهُ الَّذِي عَنْ يَمِينِهِ

12) Drink Last When Serving Others
سَاقِي الْقَوْمِ آخِرُهُمْ شُرْبًا
“The one who serves the people is the last to drink.”

13) Do Not Drink From Gold or Silver
لَا تَشْرَبُوا فِي آنِيَةِ الذَّهَبِ وَالْفِضَّةِ
“Do not drink from vessels of gold and silver.”

14) Say Alhamdulillah
إِنَّ اللَّهَ لَيَرْضَى عَنِ الْعَبْدِ أَنْ يَشْرَبَ الشَّرْبَةَ فَيَحْمَدَهُ عَلَيْهَا
The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said:
“Allah is pleased with His servant when he drinks and praises Him for it.”
